it's kinda funny from a western viewpoint that if you just look at the (ugly) dress they portrayed on the left alone, without comparing it to the one on the right, it would still meet the requirements outlined below...
So true! I feel like I meet all those requirements when I'm running around with a black graduation gown on. If I had to dress like the "checkmark", I'm pretty sure I would trip and break my ankle with all that fabric!
